OCD Manager – cognitive therapy in the palm of your hand™

OCD Manager is a programme which utilises Rational Emotive and Cognitive Behavioural methods for managing anxiety. OCD Manager has several unique features which will support you while you learn to decrease your compulsive behaviour.

The programme includes 3 audio recordings:
· ARC – this is newly developed 3 step procedure to reduce compulsive behaviour.
· Mindfulness of Breathing
· Bodyscan Mindfulness

The Mindfulness audios will help you to bring your awareness back to the present moment rather than staying trapped in a pit of obsessive thinking.

The Challenges Section suggests a range of exposure activities which will enable you to overcome your anxiety about taking risks; in addition you will be able to create challenges of your own which fit closely your personal form of OCD.

A major advantage of OCD Manager is that you will be able to access audio support in a discrete way while you carry out difficult exposure challenges in public places.

There is also a “Notifier” feature which will remind you when to carry out your exposure challenges.

OCD Manager can be used in conjunction with personal therapy and will also be helpful for those of you who have completed therapy but still require some support in dealing with recurring episodes of OCD. Those of you who find it impossible to fund private therapy will be able to benefit from OCD Manager if you follow the programme systematically and thoroughly.

The section on Rational Thinking will be familiar to those of you who have already received therapy and will introduce new comers to the skill of restructuring one’s thoughts in order to reduce the impact of unhealthy negative emotions.
